Our cultural and corporate underwriters comprise the second-largest revenue stream for the station. While there is an obvious need for our cultural underwriters like The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Berks Jazz Festival to make a connection with our audience, the corporate underwriters like Macy’s and Toll Brothers, benefit from the ‘Halo Effect’ of being exposed to the receptive ear of well-educated and affluent listeners.
National studies have shown that the vast majority of public radio listeners prefer to support those businesses that support the programming they prefer and can only get on stations like WRTI.
